John Sheldon IV, General Manager for The Landmark Casino, announced that the grand opening of Dave's Deli by Cheyenne Crossing will be on Monday, August 12, at 11 AM. This marks the first expansion of the legendary restaurant operated by Dave Bruekner, located for 144 years at the iconic US Highway 85 & Spearfish Canyon Road.
Dave's Deli will offer a classic deli menu featuring fresh meats, cheeses, salads, and soups. Known for its warm hospitality and renowned Indian Taco, Cheyenne Crossing has been a beloved destination since 1878. The restaurant will welcome guests seven days a week from 11 AM to 10 PM, providing a delightful dining experience for both locals and visitors.
The Landmark Casino, Deadwood's largest historic building, spans over 37,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor entertainment space, covering half a city block. It boasts 120 slot machines, electronic roulette, live gaming including 21, 3-card poker, and ultimate Texas Hold'em, a sports viewing and betting venue, and a 23-room boutique hotel with a private sky deck set to open in October.
Constructed in nine phases between 1894 and 1933 by W.A. Adams, one of Deadwood's most successful and generous businessmen, The Landmark Casino is a testament to the town's rich history. Adams also built the Adams Museum in 1933, adding to Deadwood's cultural heritage.
